Title: Convert from Zentyal to SME

I am currently running Zentyal Community Edition and would like to convert to SME.  Can anyone assist me with instructions on how to do this?

You should give us what you are waiting, what is your use of zentyal, and what do you want of sme.

We use Zentyal for file sharing and user management.  The enabled modules are

• Network
• Antivirus
• Backup
• Events
• Logs
• Monitoring
• VPN (enabled but not used as VPN)
• Users and Groups
• FTP
• Printer Sharing

I should also state that we already do have SME 7 installed as server & gateway (2 network cards).  It only has about 3 users on it (they are allowed VPN access), so we want to bring over the users that are on Zentyal.

may we know why are you migrating from Zentyal to SME?

There is access to persons who are more familiar with SME

First, you should reinstall your SME to version 9 (or upgrade to SME8). Then, I'm afraid there won't be a simple migration path from Zentyal to SME? you'll have to re-create the accounts on SME, setup new passwords and manually copy the data
