I like to install SOGo on SME8 64bit but got:
http://smeserver.nethesis.it/releases/8/i386/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Componente non trovato Trying other mirror.
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: nethsme. Please verify its path and try again
Is this a known problem ?

Yep the italian friends has closed their sogo repository....
Sad new :)
But you can jump to sme9 and use the contribs available
-
Is there no way to get SOGo on sme8 anymore ?

try this http://mirror.de-labrusse.fr/Sme-Server/sogo/
I can install it but no more much tests, enable sogo and epel for el5
the only customisation concerns the fact that you don't need any more a custom template depending the 64 bit architecture.

Thank you... I am a bit busy, i can test it on monday...

May (me or you) we put some link in the wiki page of Sogo to evidence your rpms, considering that Nethesis repo has disappeared ?

Alternatively, & applicable to most add on software, you can install from the developers web site using their tar.gz or zip or whatever file.
It just means you have to do manual configuration & database setup etc.
In many ways it removes being dependent on reliable source of rpms for the add on.
ie you do not necessarily need a contrib rpm package from contribs.org repo etc to install many available add ons, just get them from the web site & follow generic installation instructions.

I'm waiting a verification of some users on that rpm :)....as said before, I have just tested the installation, but not so more after.
If you think that is ok, I can push it to my repo, and you can install it quickly by a 'yum install'
-
I performed 1 new install and 2 upgrades, no evident problem in use (all of 3 are working in collaboration with FWS Dovect 2 enhancement).
Maybe put it in Smetest or in your repo.

Thanks nicolatiana, released on my repo

....released on my repo
Why do you release them on your repo, why not get them onto contribs.org repo(s) ?
I realise it may be a bit harder to implement, but it's better if shared on a "public" site.

I would do some works and it is easier for me to manage all events. In the meanwhile i provide all srpm therefore it is easy to import it in smecontribs.
However you are right janet it could be nice for us to get all my rpm in smecontribs...it will be done one day.

Without going into too much detail right now there are some changes afoot in the server infrastructure which means we cannot add new contribs at this moment in time, hence Stephane is using his own repo.
We expect that this will be resolved shortly and will keep you all posted.
