Try http://www.planetmirror.com/pub/e-smith/docs/howto/jukebox-howto.html
I have this working fine on 5.5
-
Isn't the MP3 blade available on 5.5. It is on mine, mind you I did upgrade and had the MP3 blade installed on the previous version.

Ah, I just removed the MP3 blade as I wasn't using it anyway. Guess what when I check the blades panel, no MP3 blade available so ignore my previous post.

Thanks Stephen! I figured it was about time I gave SOMEthing back after learning so much in these forums. Now all I have to do is buy a 120-gig drive because I've already filled this 40 gig.

I fell that Andromeda is the easiest to deploy and it also does video streaming. You can download the script at www.turnstyle.com.

Thanx you all

am trying to install andromeda for the vid sec of my page this couldent be better
both easy to use and looks great

Andrei: While experimenting with various jukebox scripts & programs, I tried and failed to get Andromeda to work on SME 5.1.2 ... how'd ya do it?
-
I'm not Andrei, but here's how I did it:
Made an mp3 ibay and put my MP3s in it (in the html directory). Make sure execution of dynamic content is enabled.
Put the andromeda.php script in the ibay (also in the html directory)
Created an index.php file with the following contents:
include("andromeda.php");
?>
That's it! You may want to make changes to the prefs; they are explained in the andromeda docs.
-
Keep in mind that Andromeda is not open-source software, and it's not
even free as in beer; when you've finished your evaluation, you have to
pay to use it ($35 for personal use, more for anything else). See
http://www.turnstyle.com/andromeda/purchase.asp
(For what it's worth, this is the reason I don't use Andromeda personally.)
Cheers,

Interesting--the version I use (1.9.2, IIRC) was free for personal, non-commercial use. I remember that it had been payware; looks like it is again. Time to take a look at netjuke, I guess...

Dan has it correct on the installation response I installed it the same word for word. Oh and I didn't know that Scott from Turnstyle has started selling it his script. It used to be send him a donation via Paypal but hey it's America! Anyway I have the last free version 1.9.2 if anyone needs it. Also check out my streaming oldies server

I have a few gigs of space with my web host that I plan to fill with music.
Peace,
Andrei

Andrei, keep in mind that the license doesn't allow redistribution (even in 1.9.2).

Yeah I thought about that after I posted. Oops!
