Title: Modifying hostnames that have an apostrophe in the comment section
Post by: Peasant on December 09, 2014, 11:28:16 PM
I've raised bug 8723 as I've tried to modify a hostname I'd created in server-manager, but because I'd put an apostrophe in the comment box it doesn't work. Is there a way I can modify hostnames from the command line in the meantime please?

Thanks.

Peasant

Just delete the Hostname & recreate it correctly.

You can look in the messages log file to see what commands SME server issues when you create a hostname in server manager panel, that way you can work out what CLI commands to use to delete & recreate using CLI.
