Anyone tried using a Cisco SPA8800 with Sail? I'm looking at a way to connect an analogue line to my PBX and thought I'd ask the question first before spending the money, as I've already tried a SPA3102-UK and couldn't get the analogue line part working.

Del

Why not get a simple and cheap Grandstream ATA? They always work.

We use Sangoma Vega 50 gateways for analogue. They work well on BT lines, are easy to set up and come in around the same price as the 8800. However, whichever one you choose, I would recommend you buy from someone who can help you set-up your first one.

I would second the Grandstream recommendation. I have used the 502,503,4004,4104 and am in the process of installing some 4008 boxes. I have mostly installed them for T.38 faxing support in a private network environment, but my current project is to provide some backup dialtone on a multisite mpls networked phone system.
Albeit my install was connecting to Mitel systems, the fundementals aren't much different. My current project has them connecting back to an Adtran 916e that is sharing a PRI between remotes using the Grandstreams and the host a PRI. The customer is loving the roi since the Adtran was free from their mpls provider and this will be running via vpns off their customer wireless access isp connection.

Hi Del.
I am in the UK too, have a stack of info on configuring the 3102 for the UK if you want it, but they tended to suffer from hang up problems. As the Sark devs say, the Vega work well. However they are spiteful to setup, which is why the Devs said buy from someone who gives support.

Thanks Paul, I'll get it out of the box again and get as far as I can with it and maybe you can then point me in the right direction.
