Title: sme hang during install on dell optiplex 960

I all, i have a verry strange problem during fresh install of sme 9

on a dell optiplex 960 the install hang at mounting  /tmp as tempfs and stop here !!!

With the same média (cdrom) i can install it on dell r200 without problem

What i do:

1) Check the 4 2G memory modules with memtest  (all ok 2pass)

2) test to boot with each module (same problem)

3) unplug all disks (just in case but i think this is not the problem)

4) check intégrity of cdrom ( it is ok )

5) redownload iso burn it on another disk check it (same problem)

5) install with another média type ( usb stick ) (same problem)

Notice that sme 8.1 was installed on this dell tower and it work verry well

Is there someone here that can help me please ?

Try installing CentOS 6.5, if you get the same problem then there is an issue with OS compatibility.

I notice that there is somme issue with anaconda with other os

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=632811

they use kernel arguments for boot it normally

How to do this for sme ?

Same problem with cent os 6.5 ...

But i have the same problem with sme 8.1 that was installed well before backup and format ...

Anyone have an idea ?

Did you consider trying SME Server 9.1Beta? It's CentOS 6.6 based.

No i just try to install sme9 but install hang ... but don't know why ...
So i decided to install it on an another old pc and this resolve the problem.

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4300 @ 1.80GHz
6go pc6400 ecc reg
4x80G sata2 RAID5

work verry well with this new config.
