Title: create vmware image from RAID SME 9 installation

I have an SME9 installation running on a pc with two drives, mirrored. Because of the software RAID that's been setup, the vmware software will not connect to the box, and produce an image.

I can simply break the raid by powering down, and disconnecting one of the drives, but I understand that is not enough. I need to turn off the RAID setup somewhere in the configuration. It seems the process will run fine if this box were configured with a single hard disk, and no software raid.

Anyone with any experience with this, suggestions?

Backup the original server, install a fresh SME9 VM and restore the backup.
