Title: [RESOLVED] dead symlinks
Post by: purzel on July 18, 2015, 04:30:25 PM
Hello!

I don't know whether it's a hangover from older version, an installation fault or whatever. Under /etc/e-smith/events/.../services2adjust/ I've found over 170 dead symlinks. May I delete them without disadvantages? If needed, I will post a list.

Well, it depends. If completly breaking your server is not a disadvantage to you, you can go ahead and remove them ;-)
Joking aside, those "dead" symlinks are parts of SME foundations, and are used to define which service should be restarted, how and when

They're not "dead". They are symlinks which have been re-purposed to be a key -> value database.
