I'm curious if the RAV desktop product can compete with Symantec NAV CE - providing similar centrally managed anti virus protection to Windoze client machines and locking the desktop app on the client.
Is anyone running RAV desktop antivirus on their Windoze clients, but have the clients connect to a SME box for updates, etc.?
Can RAV desktop be configured so that it is locked down and "managed" by a central server (i.e. SME box) ?
I know this is an SME forum, but I also know that many folks are running RAV on servers for email protection, so I figure some may also be running RAV on the desktops. Thanks.

Possible but not needed. All you need do is assign one RAV for Windows desktop computer as the update server (built-in feature) then have all your workstations poll this computer for updates.

Thanks, Darrell. I'll take this offiline to one of the other forums you mention. Just curious if you know of plans to "lock down" the RAV for Windows desktop app?
