Hi All,
I've tried to search for this but wasn't sure the correct terminology on what I was after doing...
I have a SME server (192.168.0.10) happily processing e-mail from @example.com.
I'm currently in the process of configuring up a new sub-domain - @new.example.com, but want everything to be forwarded to an alternative server internally (192.168.1.4). Basically it's for a ticketing system. I don't want to expose my 192.168.1.4 server to the outside world which is why I'd like SME to receive the raw mails and pass them over.
How can I do this?
Cheers,
Pete

Question: can the domain not be set so email goes to a different host , at the ISP / registrar level?

Thanks, that's started to get me on the right track. Log file complains but does seem to pass it through to the internal server, so just need to get that working :)

Sadly not because the alternative server isn't visible to the outside world. We want to minimise the machines exposed, so the main server is within a controlled DMZ with a routed pipeline to the alternative mail server.
