Title: About Outlook, Kazaa, etc...
Post by: Slider on August 21, 2002, 10:08:12 PM
Hi

I have just installed SME v5.5. I can go to the web, but all other application with another port can't workd (like kazza, smtp, pop, etc...).

I don't know how can I open it. Can someone help me, saying me how can I open a port, and, if someone know the port for kazaa.

Thanks

You don't need to open any ports for the applications you've mentioned.  Re check your windows network settings.

My window network properties?
I can go to the web with SME 5.5 under my windows XP and I can view the SME computer on my windows networkd.

I configure the proxy on 192.168.0.1 (my SME server) and port 3128.
IE works, but not kazza and outlook (I have configure kazaa too)

Don't bother configuring the proxy ... if you've set your SME server to act as a DHCP server it'll give client machines everything they need.
