Title: Updating samba

Dear all, currently samba 3.x is running our server. How to upgrade to samba 4 and what are the pre steps should i take before upgrading.

The short answer: you can't
The long one: you can try and break your server
Tell us why you want to upgrade,  thank you

thanks for the info stef. Is the breaking the server and rebuild big task?

no special need unless it is available to upgrade. Is it possible to install on a newly deployed server?

SME doesn't support samba4

SME doesn't CURRENTLY support samba4
