1. Take a look at http://www.tåme.nu/wordpress/
2. And than look at http://www.stomiforum.nu/tame_nu/WordPress/
Exampel No. 1 is how it looks like on my sme9 server only from the Internet, from my local network 192.198.2.123 it looks correkt as in No 2.
No. 2 is installed on a host and works ok
A fellow told me that to have it work on my sme9 a port have to be open.
Any hints?

try this found it in a forum
The trick was the proper port forwarding allowing loop backs
also check the how to on sme there is also a contribs for wordpress
https://wiki.contribs.org/Wordpress
word press works right the first time via the sme way you may have to forward 80 on your router and 443 to the local ip of the SME box i had to do that for zencart to work from out side ip address
-
I will donate 10 Us dollar if Your answer will do the job.
Thank You I will try Your information in a few days, at the moment I can't.
Well, You can try No.1 until You see it's working, then You know where the money gone!
😀
-
just you let you know i did it the SME way from contribs and wordpress works fine
-
I did try to use the portforwarding but still the same problem.
My intention is to install Wordpress on severel Ibays.
Well I will try the SME-way also in the end if I can't solve it.
-
why do you want several copies for i will try an ibay install in the next couple of days
tried your link and it takes a very long time to load i does not look right i when the pages loads i can see the local ip of your lan which should not happen it should just load the page
this is how mine looks i have not set anything up in it as yet but that is how the sme install works fine
https://122.148.157.129/wordpress/ i don't have a domain name
some thing is strange with your setup i get 192.168.1.100 when connection to your WordPress
what is your network setup my SME is server only as well i dont think it is SME but a config problem with wordpress but i will test on an ibay and see and will let you know
PS i can not read any off the wrodpress info as it is not in English
-
Thanks zatnikatel for Your interest around My problem.
The language is Swedish, so I don't think You will understand the text. But You understand the problem I got.
The loading from Internet as You mentioned takes a lot of time, and that indicate a conflict. But loading time is ok if I localy go 192.168.1.100/wordpress. And localy the Wordpress main page will look perfect as in No2.
Yes I have four domain-names and each will point on four different Ibase from Internet.
That is the reason of four Wordpress copys installed with different subjects on them.
The IP You gived me on Your side must be Your local network and I can't load that.
And that is the problem when someone loading My domain outside the roter the faulty page turn up with my network ip 192.168.1.100 showned. And that shows also something is wrong and stops the loading to show the correct page as in Nr2, because the visitor can't access 192.168.1.100
Will be interesting to see what You manage on Your sme

Another solution could be to use the wordpress multi site version however you need to install it in an ibay.

I have used the multi site verson some years ago did not like it.
But on a web hosting service that I pay for, it is no problem to get wordpress installed on there servers, so why on my own?
-
no problem for this, the advantage of install an instance in each Ibay, is that you can have a real domain name to use your wordpress and not http:///yoururl/wordpress

I am so sorry that my English is not that good as I understand excactly what You are saying, and thats a pitty.
Well now I Think all is solved (I hope , time for tell)
I did an Wordpress install in my Primary Ibay/wordpress/
You find it at www.ostvik.info/wordpress/ in Swedish and the startup screen the way it should be.
It seems the Wordpress will only work in the Primary Ibay, but that is ok for me, now I can install several wordpress in Primary Ibay in different directorys.
Wordpress_Ibay(name)
Wordpress_Ibay(name)
Wordpress_Ibay(name)
Wordpress_Ibay(name)
Wordpress_Ibay(name)
After that I can from each Ibay(name) Point to the directory of Primary wordpress installation.
Now... is Your English that good You understand what I am trying to explain?
-
if you would like to run it in another go to domain and change the default domain to that Ibay and make sure the Ibay you are useing
has this enabled Public access via web or anonymous ftp on the ibay you want to use
just my last 2 cents
zencart works well on SME server

No problem Foa, I'm french and my Perl is better than this F.... english :)
Wordpress is really simple to install directly in an Ibay, create the database and its user, create the Ibay, untar the archive inside, restore the ownership with the Ibay panel (save again the setting (group admin, write group read everybody, entire internet no password) then go to the url and finish what the installer requires, enjoy.
With the wordpress contrib, you cannot easily use the root url of a domaine (http://yourwordpress.com) for your wordpress instance, but it is simpler if you install it in an Ibay like zatnikatel proposed and point the domain to the correct Ibay in the domain panel.
-
You wrote: untar the archive inside
untar is that the same as delete?
To me it looks like I did try what You explaind, but I did not get the mainpage of Wordpress to show correctly from internet, but correct from local.
So I was foold that all whent så nicly local but no good from outside.
-
Untar the archive means extract the files from the archive
-
wordpress i just downloaded is a zip file
Can you please tell use more about your network setup

Yes Wordpress is a download zip file
I upload it to Primary html and a folder named WordPress, then I browsy that folder and than installation startded. All ok local or public
I did the same but this time I used an other Ibay "tame_nu"
All whent ok.. but now it showed ok local but not public
Now I will try to install it in a Ibay named "tame_se" and see if the same problem turns up.

Hi Foa,
I did a small documentation SME-9.1 & WordPress-4.4 at https://www.micronator.org/?page_id=2328.
It is in French but the pictures are in English ;) and the commands are standard. You shoul be able to follow.
I have different domains on different i-bays and they work flawlessly.
I think your problem is because you use full FQDN in you links. Try to use relative links. Ex: instead of http://www.toto.org/path-to-something use /path-to-something. It will be better if you decide to backup your site and restore it to another i-bay.
After the Primary site is working you can back it and restore it in another i-bay with XCloner. Have a look at https://www.micronator.org/?page_id=2130.
