Title: Set up a permanent exclude for yum
Post by: toothandnail on March 15, 2016, 09:19:01 AM
I've just installed the most recent version of Midnight Commander on several SME servers (which I need to get round a corruption problem in the standard CentOS6 version when handling large archives). I'd like to make sure that the stock version doesn't get installed the next time an update is run.

I'm used to editing template fragments to make changes to SME behaviour, but I'm not sure what template to use, and could do with some samples of how the changes would be made. Can anyone point me to the correct template to check?

Paul.

You could add an Exclude pkg to the repo configuration

Yup, please see https://wiki.contribs.org/ELRepo as an example only.
