Hi All,
Is there any howtos for FreePBX on SME Server V9? My search only shows the old contrib.
Cheers,
Del

Maybe a little outdated, so please test on a VM (script has been used to create production servers) and your feedback would be appreciated.

Hi
Thought I would give this a test out, managed to install as per the instructions, however, think I am missing something obvious here, but when I log in as admin, I do not get many of the menu items, such as registering the system etc.

Paul,
please see module admin for installing additional modules.

Slaps head! Found it, but being a noob to FreePBX perhaps it could be useful to have a list of suggested packages?
Only reason I say this was that I was watching and youtube tutorial, and few of the menu items being shown actually existed on this install. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--hwYURwCMw
Thanks for the info. Off to work out what ones I need!
Regards Paul.

Exactly why the FreePBX contrib installs by default with a minimum number of essential modules. Milage may vary by needs.
The video btw, is a very commercial Smooze video, not an end user experience. It holds commercial modules that are not available to the GPL version.

Thanks HF, was wanting to find an alternative to Sail for home, not a clue as to what I need, but the interface of Freepbx is a bit daunting for a newbie to it. I could not even find where you set the range of numbers for the phones! Hence I was watching those videos for a hint.

Keep it simple. Just start with device and user setting in the advanced setting. This brings hot-desking to the table and separates devices and users (opposed to copper wire thinking). Then address al security stuff.
First goal would be to be able to make a secure call to another user on the same system. That's it.
