Title: X-Spam-Report HEADER on SpamAssassin
Post by: Jáder on April 07, 2016, 04:25:09 AM
I'm trying to fight spam and some group messages (contact@company, financial@company) are my biggest problem.
But I'm not sure why.
So I went to read headers of SPAM messages and find out about test applied.
I've google for more info and discovered about "X-Spam-Report" header but it's not present on SME9.

Can I add it w/o much problem or it's disabled by a good reason ?

Regards

Jáder

The info you want is in the X-Spam-Status header

Daniel,

I really like the report version , with each rule and his points. That is the VERBOSE version of status.
I cannot understand the status version.
And I cannot find out where are the rules and how much points each one has now neither how to change it.

I have serious problems with SPAM in one client and those are just for group messages (financial@company , contact@company, ...) so I need to fix some rules ... or disable the group accounts.

well, if you've found how to enable such an header, create a custom fragment to add it to your spamassassin's configuration

...or make them internal only and rename the ones you can't.

Welcome to you too.

why so interested in fighting spam?
Spam is annoying and disrupting. It's one of the things we are trying to achieve and nit without success.

Are you sure? Have you had any experience with SME Server and the very valuable contribs that fight spam? What was your experience please?

I am making a DNS blacklist dedicated for SME servers where all have to contribute to build up the database.

See https://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,52665.0.html

Obviously it does not start from scratch - it has 375.000 URIs and 1.3 mio IPs to start with and is being used in a professional spam filter setting at ScanMailX.

This looks interesting. Seems like Black list would work a Lot better if the mail could be delayed like 2-5 minutes. Allmost the spam I receive is on a black list just a few minutes or even seconds after I receive it? Is the anything one could do to slow mail delivery down a little?
