Title: smeserver-domains - testing required
Post by: ReetP on April 28, 2016, 05:56:33 PM
For anyone who has used it (me on v8) I have rebuilt dungog domains as smeserver-domains for redirecting email for different domains.

https://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9483

Please have a test and let me know if there are any issues

Our thanks once again to Stephen Noble for donating the code.

There is no information whatsoever, no change log opposed to the orginal.

What is this? Where is the documentation please. No wiki documentation or any info.

NOBODY here knows Dungog or what it means if they have joined the last 5 years or so.

We need to support all audience, especially the recent joiners, with full explanation and details.

Because I didn't change anything apart from one minor cosmetic change. There was no SRPM so I took the original RPM, reverse engineered the createlinks, created a new spec file and built a new RPM

As per the spec file here:

https://github.com/reetp/smeserver-domains/blob/master/smeserver-domains.spec

%changelog
* Thu Apr 28 2016 John Crisp <jcrisp@safeandsoundit.co.uk> 0-1.4-1.sme
- First import to smecontribs

* Tue Oct 31 2006 Stephen Noble <support@dungog.net>
- warning added to setup remote MailServer before delegating to them
- [1.2-2]

* Sun Aug 20 2006 Stephen Noble <stephen@dungog.net>
- initial release
- [1.2-1]

And that is as good a summary as any.

That's because there isn't any and I haven't written any.

For those who DO know dungog and use some of their old RPMs I have merely taken the code so it could be added to the contribs repo.

If, as, and when I get time I may try to write something out. Currently I don't have that time.

As I mentioned, about all I remember is it redirects mail for different domains to different users/pseudonyms if required.

You can always have a go at installing and seeing for yourself.

Thank you for your migration work on this. Initial testing on SME9 is looking good.

I had not used that before (as a contrib for SME8), did not know about it. We have been looking for that functionality so thanks again for your work.

No worries. I'm not going to try and rewrite for formmagick as I don't believe it is worth the hassle right now. And I don't know how :-)

I'll get it pushed to contribs asap.

There are a few more oldies/goldies out there I'll try to add as I have time.
