Title: Blacklisting in horde webmail not working?
Post by: dave simmons on May 12, 2016, 02:02:31 PM
I have tried to blacklist a couple of e-mail addresses using the horde webmail interface.  When I look at the blacklist, the addresses are there, each on a seperate line, but mail is not getting dropped or rejected.  Server is standard SME 8 with all updates applied, no extra contribs.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

(If you need more details, please ask)

In options/mail/filters what do you have set?  If you don't have anything set, then horde webmail won't filter the messages.  The filter only runs when you are accessing webmail, and you have to set it up to execute how you want.  I just tested on an SME8 server, and the various options work for me.

I did it on a test server.  I'm running horde 5 on my home server, but the filters work the same for me there as well.

alternatively you can install smeserver-mailsorting, it will sort mail directly at the level before webmail, so it will be sorted even if the user does not log to webmail or log from another client ( thunderbird, iOS, android phone ...)
