Title: Email from web contact form not getting through
Post by: Peasant on May 18, 2016, 01:48:25 PM
My brother has his website hosted externally, and has a contact form that generates an email which he wants sent to sales@<hisdomain>.co.uk. For some reason, no emails get through, and I've not been able to find any trace of them in qsmtpd logs. If you change the address to send the messages to something other than @<hisdomain>.co.uk they get through fine (I've even sent one or two to my own server, which is also SME9).

Headers on successful emails also include a return path of <hisdomain>@<hisdomain>.co.uk, which I cannot change in the form. Message ID's usually take the form of <id>@www.<hisdomain>.co.uk

It may be I'm searching in the wrong log files, or for the wrong things in the log files.

Can anyone shed some light on this please? Thanks.

You need to trace this problem on the website system, to discover why is it not delivering the messages correctly.

Thanks Charlie. The hosting company are currently looking into it.

Cheers.

Now fixed. It was a hosting issue. Thanks for your help.
