Hi,
I'm looking for comments on what are people using for cloud backup. This would be in addition to an already existing backup to a local external drive. The new 'manager' wants also off-site, just in case. It will be for one ibay only.
Google cloud is kind of cheap $0.32/gb/year, but that's for the upload only. Egress - Americas/EMEA: 200 GB: $288.00/year
Google has gsutil with rsync built in, then it would be just a matter of scheduling.
Any other idea?
Thanks
Syv

My answer is the built-in workstation backup to my FreeNAS box, and from there to the cloud using CrashPlan.

I would suggest using AFFA3 and a dedicated remote SME Server with enough space to hold the backup archives.

this would start at 0.132USD/GB/year + you will have a remote server with high availability:

for the equivalent of the price of big G you can have a backup in europe and one in north america.
