Title: SME 9.1 as a Proxy Server
Post by: MarkR on July 06, 2016, 11:26:24 AM
Hi All,

I am using SME 9.1 as a proxy server, but I appear to be unable to login to some sites.

For example I have a Joomla site where I am unable to log into the Admin pages.

If I set my web browser(firefox) to be direct(bypass SME) I am able to log in without any problems.

I am using web filtering (AV only) and also QOS.

Please advise the best place to start to resolve these issues?

Many thanks
Mark

The best place to start is to fully describe what you are doing and exactly what you see:

"unable to login" and "some sites" doesn't allow anyone to diagnose your problem.

Apart from supplying much more specific details as advised by others, you would also look in the various log files on sme server & provide full error messages you receive in your browser. Also you can try using different web browsers on your workstation.
