Title: Newbie: e-smith as file server for existing extra HDD
Post by: Klaus Mygind on August 29, 2002, 04:03:06 AM
Hi!

I have installed e-smith as server only, and it went quite nice and easy with the server manager available from other PCs and all.

I would like to use the server as a file server for other Windows PCs on the network, and I have found that I can use i-bays for this purpose. The thing is that this just creates a folder, where I can put files, but I cannot find out how to configure it to use another HDD. The thing is that I have another HD with the files, I want to share (Windows format), but I cannot find out how to make it available. So I guess my question is: How do I configure the i-bay to look on a different HDD? Or should I set it up in a completely other way?

I hope this doesn't sound too stupid and I will appreciate any help.

Regards,

Not to Stupid, I'd like to know how to automatically have a 2nd HDD mounted when system is booted as well.
