I have setup a modem on my server and have set ppp to allow me to dial in. The connection establishes fine but the remot user has no access to the LAN and the LAN has no access to the remote user.
How do I rectify this?

Hi Scott
I've recently done this on one of the servers I look after.
I assume that you're dialling in from a Windows machine into the SME server, using the 'Make New Connection' icon in 'Dial-Up Networking'.
The first time I did this, I experience exactly the same thing as you, I could establish a connection, but could browse the server.
This was because I had only the TCP/IP protocol installed on the Windows box.
Try adding 'NETBEUI' & 'IPX/SPX'. You should then be able to 'see' the server in network neighbourhood.
I don't know how to browse the 'dialled-in' computer from the server though. Someone else can answer that.
Hope this helps.
Neil

mmmm, will do that if I have to surely TCP should suffice.
Anyone know of a better way?
