Question
If a have a sme5.1.2 running well(server and gateway)
with workstations all connected by a hub.
Is it easy to hang a router off that hub and have
the sme server connect thur the hub.
How easy

If you want to use the SME server as a gateway, then plug the router in the EXTERNAL interface of the server, and plug the hub into the INTERNAL interface.
That's all it takes for physical connectivity.
You will also need to make sure that the server has been configured for the proper IP, gateway, and subnet mask for outside connectivity.

I am using SME 5.5 setup as Private Server for files only, with the gateway set to the IP of my router which hangs off a port on the hub.
SME has no problem finding the internet to install blades etc.
I'm not so sure that it is a smart way to go though if you are serving web pages direct to the world.........

EXTERNAL interface
Do you mean the external network card to the router with the internal network card going to the hub.
