Title: Windows domain joining issue

Hello All,

is it possible sme server act as domain controller, if yes i had already try to join sme server domain from windows 7 or windows 10. but not able to connect can anybody help how to join sme server domain controller with roaming profile from windows or linux machine.

SME server does not support Active Directory domain., it is a NT style Domain Controller
There is also a registry patch(es) you need to run in Windows client,

now i complete my sme email server setup.
but how can i create or add mx records.
my domain register at godaddy.
i know how to mx records with google email mx records at godaddy.

but here i could not understand i also have public ip address.

Mohan, welcome here..

Please, 1 issue -> 1 topic.. this will keep our forums clean and help people to find useful info easily.

regarding MX record, you've to configure it on your godaddy panel, pointing it to your SME's external public IP

please, take some time to read the fine documentation (links are above), I'm sure you'll find everything you need.. in any case, feel free to ask ;-)

i had do the same.
when i send mail to any email id will received properly, but sme server users are not able to receive mails only sent...

Facing same issue still i m receiving mails from only abc@sabjilelo.org not able to receive mails from other domain like gmail yahoo etc.
but when i send a mail from abc@sabjilelo.org to abc@gmail.com its received immdiate properly.

please check your TCP port 25 is open on the public IP and (eventually) forwarded to your SME

and check admin's mailbox, you'd have a message

today morning i checked every thing is fine on SME Email server all emails receiving and sending properly Thank you so much sir for great help...
