Title: cd creation
Post by: Henry on April 14, 2000, 06:52:37 AM
I downloaded 4.0b6 and it came in a .iso.gz format. I used winzip to unzip to an iso file and used nero  to burn an iso cd-rom. I ended up with a cd with the iso file on it. The version I'm using now came from a cd made by someone else. I don't want to be dependant on others for this procedure. What am I not doing to get the right format. If a FAQ is the source of information, where do I go to get it?
Thanks for your help........

Henry

I don't know anything about Nero, but you need to find an option for burning a CD directly from an image file. Don't create an ISO image, you already have done. The unzipping first is the right thing to do.

I figured it out last night. It seems like I have to wait until 2:00am to get any computer smarts.

Thanks.......

To Burn a CD using an iso image I use Easy cd Creator 95
OK its old and for windows 95/8 but it will work with iso images

Most of the New cd burning software will NOT

In your software, look for an option to create cd from an image, then use that option to burn your cd.
