Hi, I have SME 5.1.2 installed and need to run KDE on the same machine. I've been trying to install it, but noticed it needed QT, the QT needed XFree86, so I first installed XFree86, but QT won't install because it still needs some *.so.2.
Is there any clean and simple (surely not...) way to do this? Or at least, could someone please give me a detailed explanation on how to get KDE installed manually?
I'll appreciate it.

Hi German,
What *.so.2 files are required ?
Are they the libcrypto.so.2 and related files ? If so, to install them you need files like the following :-
openssl-0.9.6b-28.i386.rpm
openssl096-0.9.6-13.i386.rpm
Install them on the one command line (rpm -Uvh openssl*.rpm).
Note : This will upgrade the openssl package on SME. While I personally have not seen this break anything (as suggested by others), I would suggest you try it on a non production server first. If you do find that this breaks something, do post back and let us know for future reference.
