Title: Internet Connection Sharing

Hi, I've recently installed SuSE 8.0 on one of my PC's but I can't get it to connect via Konqueror to the web?

I can ping any of the PC's on mky network from he SuSE box & I can ping external sites I just can't connect to these sites with Konqueror. I have tried specifying proxy settings in Konqueror but this didn't help. My e-smith box has an internal address of 192.168.1.100 and I used this in the proxy settings of Konqueror but didn't know what port to specify for HTTP, HTTPS and FTP so left the defaults as 8080.

can anyone help with this?

Doesn't matter I've worked out that it has nothing to do with e-smith, it's something to do with the DNS settings on the SuSE box...

The port should be 3128....

Why not let the SuSe box use DHCP?
