Thank you to Software collections, I am happy to announce you the availability of mysql5.7 on SME9.

Mysql5.5 was already available ( https://wiki.contribs.org/MySQL55)
If the need is here I might work soon on making available mysql 5.6 and mariadb55 /mariadb100 /mariadb101
