Hi,
i'd like to install SMEserver on a VM

which advice you?:

fedora server + KVM or Ubuntu server + virtualbox?

I wouldn't run anything that I wanted to treat as a production server under VirtualBox.  I'm running my SME Server under Proxmox, which uses Debian/KVM under the hood.

I run a few Prox boxes with SME too and they are very good (not that I like systemd but hey ho....)
