Hi
I let sme update itself this morning, and I have lost acess to all samba shares, the printing still works as does email but when I try to browse the network windows can't find the network share.
The samba log has some strange entries:
[2017/06/16 08:34:52.996576, 0] smbd/service.c:1055(make_connection_snum)
canonicalize_connect_path failed for service data, path /home/e-smith/files/shares/qpsmtpd|DMARCReporting|disabled/files
[2017/06/16 08:34:52.997382, 0] smbd/service.c:1055(make_connection_snum)
canonicalize_connect_path failed for service data, path /home/e-smith/files/shares/qpsmtpd|DMARCReporting|disabled/files
[2017/06/16 08:34:53.002531, 0] smbd/service.c:1055(make_connection_snum)
canonicalize_connect_path failed for service data, path /home/e-smith/files/shares/qpsmtpd|DMARCReporting|disabled/files
[2017/06/16 08:34:53.003268, 0] smbd/service.c:1055(make_connection_snum)
canonicalize_connect_path failed for service data, path /home/e-smith/files/shares/qpsmtpd|DMARCReporting|disabled/files
I don't have a share called qpsmtpd, the updates were:
ca-certificates.noarch 2017.2.14-65.0.1.el6_9 updates
rpcbind.x86_64 0.2.0-13.el6_9.1 updates
smeserver-qpsmtpd.noarch 2.4.0-37.el6.sme smeupdates
smb.con has all the shares set to, for example:
[data]
comment = work directory
path = /home/e-smith/files/shares/qpsmtpd|DMARCReporting|disabled/files
read only = no
writable = yes
printable = no
inherit permissions = yes
create mode = 0660
Is there anyway I can roll back to the previous versions?
Help!!
Regards
Rob

Hi
I edited
path = /home/e-smith/files/shares/qpsmtpd|DMARCReporting|disabled/files
in smb.conf to the correct path and the share returned after restarting samba.
Will these changes persist after a reboot or do I need to edit the sme server configuration files?

You can rollback the smeserver-qpsmtpd, which I presume is the problem, to the previous version with
# yum downgrade smeserver-qpsmtpd
reboot
and submit a bug so it can be addressed

Hi
Thanks, I'll try that later on when i've finished work. I presume there a backup of smb.conf to restore, and also does yum create a log of which files it has changed?
