Title: Seafile

Hi

Has anyone found a way to get Seafile https://www.seafile.com/en/home/ (https://www.seafile.com/en/home/)  to work with SME 9 - could you share your experiences and setup etc.

Current seafile requires python 2.7; SME 9 comes with 2.6.

You'd need to install 2.7 (or possibly 3.5) as a "software collection":

https://wiki.contribs.org/Software_Collections:Python (specifically addresses Python 3.3)

https://www.softwarecollections.org/en/scls/rhscl/python27/
https://www.softwarecollections.org/en/scls/rhscl/rh-python35/

You'd then need to install the python modules required by Seafile into the SCL python of your choice and modify the Seafile startup process to use the SCL version of Python.

Have you successfully installed Seafile on SME and if so what are your impressions of the software.

Thank you, I did see that post but it only seems to refer to installing python version required by Seafile but not install Seafile.
Also was wanting to find out if anyone is running Seafile on SME and their impression of the software etc.

I guess a Nextcloud is something that people are using for what you are trying to achieve. I could be wrong tho.

Got python to install, pillow & MSSQL and installed seafile server - started server and hub etc,
But still not able to get Seafile / Seadrive - clients to be able to access the server.

Has anyone managed to get Seafile to work on SME 9 if so could you share your knowledge as to how achieved.
