Any tips on how to setup SME 9 as domain controller and add Win 7 machines to it?

hi

first of all, be aware SME9.2 will act as a NT style PDC and not as a AD DC server..

that said, take a look here:

Hi,
I've done all that in the link. And have added win7samaba.reg into the registry but still getting 'Windows cannot find an account for your computer in domain'. I'm logging in as admin initially.

9.2
Fully updated.
domain name is workgroup name (company name)
No its not.

I've added win7samba.org to registry. Tried joining domain via these steps:  Go to the "start menu", right click on computer, select "Properties", select the link "change Settings", then click on "Change" Tab. Enter your servers "Domain" value in the domain field and 'Connect'. Enter the username of admin(*) with the servers admin password.

Getting error that 'existing computer account having name "...." was previously created'.
Or that domain doesn't exist/ can't be contacted.

SME must be the DNS server for the client to join
