Trying to install SME 9 into a VM on vmware ESXi 6.5
Install seems to stall at "creating ext4 filesystem on /dev/md0"
Have left if for a few hours but it doesn't go any further. Have tried various raid/no raid options (the server already has hardware raid) with the same results.
I've previously installed SME 8 on vmware without any problem.
Any suggestions?

Usibg Alt+FX (x=2 3 4 5) you can access some shells with logs.. Take a look there
BTW, how big are the disk?
Moreover, I suggest you to use a single disk

Thanks for the reply! I don't seem to get any response when I try the Alt+F keys. I've now tried pretty much every option, and tried both 32 & 64-bit ISO's.
It always seems to fail when it comes to creating/formatting the ext4 filesystem - sometimes on md0, sometimes on sda3 (I guess this is defined by my choice of raid/no raid).
This is the first time I've tried installing on VMWare 6 - previous installs were on VMware 3 & 4. Will try to see if I can install an older VMware on a machine to test.
ETA - I have tried disk sizes of 40 & 60GB

I had no issue at all installing SME9 in ESXi5.5
if you can/care, try to setup last centos6 and see if it works..
please take a look here too: http://partnerweb.vmware.com/GOSIG/CentOS_6.html

Thanks! I chose ESXi5.5 compatibility in the VM setup and it worked first time!
