I have a question to which i hope someone of you readers can help me find an answer.
Is it possible for me to share data accross more than one ibay?
The situation is as follows:
I have one ibay named JUKEBOX containing Netjuke (netjuke.sourceforge.net) and that seems to be running nicely... When starting to put files in the dir i noticed i was running out of space rather rapidly... so i got another 28 GB disk, put it in the server and got it running as an ibay named DATA. I named this one specificly because this enabled me to also try out the "standard apachemp3" multimedia jukebox that comes with E-smith (well that and some rpms)... ApacheMP3 does the job for simple stuff (but for some reason doesnt let me stream??) so i would like to use the files in DATA for Netjuke in ibay JUKEBOX... When trying that in netjuke however it fails and makes me believe this is due to security reasons...
Can i fix this?

Not quite what i am looking for either... the extra hd is already in there an completely filled up too... added to the system mounted as an extra dir/ibay and works like a charm.
My question is can i use the files in this ibay/dir for other ibays too by pulling a trick or is this completely impossible?

try symlinks to the files you want to appear in the other ibays

Hey thanks a lot.. am not at home yet so cannot try if this works yet but at least this something completely new and something i haven't already tried so that is sort of hopeful... :)
Does this mean i have to link every file separately? Would mean A LOT of work! But heck, i'll try anything once...
Will let u know what i find out...

Jasper,
I have a problem similar to Arjan. I need to share an entire subdirectory contained within an i-bay , having the same subdirectory appear within another i-bay. I implemented a symlink to the subdirectory, but, while access works fine from a Linux (E-Smith) command line, I cannot see or access the symlink from a Windows browse. I have checked the samba conf file, and added the "follow symlinks" and "wide links" parameters, even though the samba manuals state that these are on by default. If you have been successful at using symlinks, could you provide instructions? Is there anyone who can explain what I am doing wrong?
Thanks
Peter Walter
