Hi everybody. To do a testing process, i would like to know that if there is a possibility to configure openvpn on Vmware virtual environment?
-
I see no reason why not - i use a pptp (shame!) VPN to an SMEServer running under proxmox (a Virtual Environment).
Others might have more relevant experience.

There's no difference between virtual or physical installations. I only run virtual sme since years, and using OpenVPN on all of them

Because of I am running virtual guests in Nat mode in VMware, not in bridge mode, I think there is something to do more but exactly don't know. I installed Openvpn and it gives me "connecting to username has failed" messege. What will be to change?

Well, this is not related to OpenVPN in particular. It depends from where you're connecting, and how you have configured your VM. You might need to forward a port from the host to the guest (default OpenVPN port is UDP 1194). Can't help further as I don't use VMWare
