Title: Problem after updating a server, fails on reconfigure

Hi, any ideas how to overcome this:-

signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot
no connection to syslog available
   - /dev/log is not a socket at /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/esmith/Logger.pm line 42

All I did was update the server.
