Hi All,
How do I block access through my SME 5.1.2 box to certain unsavoury sites.
I was sitting with my 8 year old doing a little surfing and went to find the Bob the Builder site. The NineMSN search engine sent us to www.bobthebuilder.com. This site doesn't seem to be using ratings so IE let them access it. Needless to say it wasn't the BBC kids show that came up.
I'm pretty sure that I need to edit one of the templates I was hoping someone could save me some time and tell me which one. Is it something like the smtpd_check_rules?
Thanks in Advance

try using squid its very good and has a built in panel in ths sme interface from there you can restrict websites to what you need
even use SARG to produce reports on what sites users have been on too
I cant remember where i got them from but if you search in the forums you'll be able to find them
Hope this helps

Sorry if I did't get it, but I went to the site you mentioned (www.bobthebuilder.com) and I don't see anything wrong with it, It's a kid's website!! so your coment is because the site is not using ratings or what is inside??
sorry about my english!!

I use Dansguardian for server level content filtering. It works great!
