Hi all,
I just updated an sme server 8 to sme server 9.2, all went well except that yum seems to prefer ipv6 over ipv4. I can't find a way on contribs.org to disable ipv6 support, have I missed something ?
Result of yum update :
root@stjo-peda01:~# yum update
Modules complémentaires chargés : fastestmirror, smeserver
Configuration du processus de mise à jour
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=6&arch=x86_64&repo=os error was
14: PYCURL ERROR 7 - "Failed to connect to 2001:4178:5:200::10: Le réseau n'est pas accessible"
Erreur : Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: base
Best regards,

It shouldn't unless you have enabled IPv6 in your server somehow. SME only uses IPv4 by default.
Post the output of these please.
ifconfig |grep inet 6
or just
ifconfig

Hmmm. Reminds me of this which appeared to be an IPv6 issue but wasn't.
https://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,53609.msg278709.html#msg278709
Wondering if it is just a mirror error?
Check the wiki on resetting the fastest mirror list and cleaning the yum cache.

Hi,
This was not IPv6 related. After a lot of tests, I found out that the server could not access internet on port 80. I couldn't figure out why. It seems it was linked to my router, after reseting its configuration, everything is fine.
I thank you for your help and celerity,
Best regards
Mathieu

That's a new one on me!!
In over 50 years I have never heard an Englishman use that :-)

As a frenchman, I like to use it :)

You'll confuse all the native English speakers, and they in turn will all instantly know you are not English (funnily enough my Australian mate said EXACTLY the same thing !!!)
We BOTH had to look it up.....
Polemic and pedagology are another couple never really used by native speakers that I see quite often :-)
