Hi,
I'm looking for a way to assign a hostname to an ibay using SME 5.5 so that when external users request www.mydomain.com they arrive at my primary website but when they request anotherhostnane.mydomain.com they are redirected to an ibay. Is that possible??
I've been browsing the edocs and these forums but haven't found a recipe, if you have one I would much appreciate to hear about it...
TIA,
Thomas

Just think of it as a virtual domain--enter a virtual domain of "anotherhostname.mydomain.com", and point that at the ibay.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for your reply. It was so obvious that I couldn't see it until you told me...
Thanks,
Thomas

would there be a way to assign a different ibay as the primary site for a domain, e.g. www.domain.com would point to the ibay called "website1" instead of Primary?

what version are you using? 5.5 or 5.6 you can choose what I bay you use. 6.0 sticks you in the primary. I think there is a way around it, but not sure. Dont have a test box in front of me
You can also specify one IP for domain.com and another IP for mysite.mydomain.com in you DNS records if you have control over them.
