I am using Ecrix VXA-1 IDE ATA Tape Drive. It installed and configured with zero intervention on my part. It uses cheaper tapes than some models but is not the cheapest drive to buy.

I have used both the HP DAT drive & the Seagate STT20000A IDE drives with no problems - I suspect that they'd all work OK though.
