Title: Fetchmail non scarica

Salve a tutti,

sono alla prima esperienza con la versione 10.
Sto migrando un server 9.2....e cercavo di migrare le caselle di posta che utilizzano fetchmail...copiato tutti i dati...

Ma vedo che non scarica....cosa posso verificare ?

 config show fetchmail in entrambi i server da :

fetchmail=service
    FreqOffice=every5min
    FreqOutside=every5min
    FreqWeekend=every5min
    Method=etrn
    SecondaryMailAccount=popaccount
    SecondaryMailPassword=poppassword
    SecondaryMailServer=mail.myisp.xxx
    status=enabled

check your fetchmail log for more info, but most probably this is your issue:

just fixed and pending verification, where you can help if your sme 10 is not yet in production.

Thanks....it works...Thanks...

One thing...copying mails from smerserver 9.2 imap mailbox..to smeserver 10 imap mailbox....i have frequent timeout..

with stop copying....i'm using thunderbird...i have to move 50-60 mails at a time..

Now copying from 9.2 imap to thunderbird local folder i'm moving 6k mails one shot.....

is there any other known issue ?

They are not the same thing.

If you just copy form mail box to local folder then yes it may well be quick. Copy using Thunderbird between two servers will always be slow as Thunderbird will be downloading, indexing, and then uploading every mail. Bound to be slow.

Better to copy directly on the server from one to the other. That will be fast. Please see the wiki for manual copying etc.

se non puoi fare copia diretta, considera di usare imapsync (cerca qui nei forum, se ne è parlato)

Avevo provato (1 volta sola) a fare la copia da un backup ad un server nuovo ed avevo avuto errori...

Non visualizzava nessuna elle mail copiate..

Mentre 1 volta dal backup al server proprietario del backup non avevo avuto problemi...

Ci sono accorgimenti da tenere in conto?

Farò delle prove al più presto comunque...

direct copy with rsync sometime needs you to delete the dovecot indexes. 
when they are missing, they are regenerated from the existing mails.
