Ran across a message for this Distro in the IPCop Mailing list and was intrigued. I just have a couple of questions before I install this to test.
1) Can I Install Mailman and SpamAssassin on this box? I think I also read that you're NOT supposed to install Webmin.
2) I plan on using this box (as Server only - I don't plan on removing IPCop as my firewall/gateway) to host personal PHP-Nuke sites (along with the phpBB2 Forums) - is PHP/MYSql installed on the box?
3) Can Outlook 2000/XP access the Mailboxes (besides being able to use Webmail)?
Thanks for any information! :)

I'll answer the easy one.
SME can be configured to use POP3 or IMAP mailboxes. Outlook (or any other email client) can access those. No, it does not support the extra Exchange features of Outlook, unless you use something like Bynari's addon.

Cross-posting. Tsk.Tsk.
I'll answer the other ones for people who might ask the same questions...
1. Mailman (and other mail list packages) and SpamAssassin both install fine on SME. There are how-to's and in some cases rpm's around for both.
2. Yes, both PHP and MySql are part of the package. PHPNuke, PostNuke, XOOPS, MyNuke, etc... all install and work fine on SME. Once again there are how-to's kicking around for most of this stuff.
Good luck!
