Morning all,
I updated a server I look after last night, and all went well. I also renewed my Letsencrypt certificates successfully (I do it manually because I don't like leaving port 80 open all the time).
The server backup ran successfully last night, but had this at the start (I've changed the name of the server for here):
==================================
DAILY BACKUP TO WORKSTATION REPORT
==================================
Backup of smeserver.myserver.co.uk started at Mon Sep 12 23:45:03 2022
==================================
Some parts are excluded of your backup:
/etc/dehydrated/config
/etc/dehydrated/domains.txt
==================================
Destination //localhost/media/backup2/smeserver.myserver.co.uk/set1
Basename full-20220912234503
Starting the backup with a timeout of 7 hours
Any ideas as to why these files should be excluded all of a sudden? Thanks.

this is part of the last update of letsencrypt. its folder is now part of the core backups. (before this update your LE certs were NOT AT ALL part of the backup )
those two files are generated by the server using templates and content of config db.
why would you want to store them in a backup ?

Not sure really :-) It's a while since I added my dehydrated files to the backup but what I did is listed here:

So can I now undo what I did in the above post? Thanks.

your custom fragment is indeed futile now.
you can still check the dar file content to see if etc/dehydrated is listed twice
