You will need to update all your contribs with the current update.

new policy for smecontribs with SME10 has been to keep it enabled, if you have restored from a previous version it might be disabled by default

Code: [Select]
db yum_repositories setprop smecontribs status enabled
signal-event yum-modify

then update

Thanks a lot for all the effort you've put into this :-)

Can you update from 10.0 to 10.1 via a simple "yum update"? Or is it necessary to do a re-install?

The man above put in a huge effort and yes a yum update will bring you up to 10.1, tho see JPs post above and be aware of the update to the 2.4 syntax in relation to contribs

yes yum is the way for minor release like 10.0 to 10.1.

and indeed check all is good with your app running on apache.  You want to update all contribs, and check your custom template as documented on the wiki 10.1 release page

One thing is not clear to me. Up to now to upgrade I have done with "yum update --enablerepo=smecontribs". By now I seem to have understood that I can delete "--enablerepo=smecontribs" because already "pre-activated" from the settings, right?

After update to 10.1, I can't connect to my wiki's count (unreachable), neither update desktops to debian's servers (dito).
I must run :
 signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot
and all are running well now.

e-smith-base-5.8.1-18 was needed prior, reconfigure+reboot didn't go through.
See https://bugs.koozali.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12164 and check messages log.

or maybe I'm wrong, sorry, but a  signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot  always does it

One of my servers would not complete the update to 10.1.  My other server updated without incident.  Both servers were fully updated.  I did try --skip-broken.  What is the fix, please?    Thanks and I greatly appreciate all the work that went into 10.1!  The log from Putty is below:

 * smecontribs: mirror.canada.pialasse.com

 You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

# rpm -qa e-smith-apache
e-smith-apache-2.6.0-22.el7.sme.noarch

Try again:
yum clean all --enablerepo=*
yum update --disablerepo=smecontribs

You should have these repos enabled:
 * base:
 * smeaddons:
 * smeextras:
 * smeos:
 * smeupdates:
 * updates:

yum update --enablerepo=smeos

/sbin/e-smith/audittools/repositories

can be easily enabled from server-manager > Software installer > Change software installer settings

yum update --enablerepo=smeos   should get you updated, but make sure repos are enabled

Top work team.

Looks like there are several repos there that need to be removed?

Isn't there a command to reset yum repos to default?

Then the OP can add the correct ones via this:

JP, Yes, I am updated.  Thanks to all.

Please check your repos and set them correctly before you find yourself with more issues.

There are several there that should not be there.

Please reset the repos to defaults and then use the extras repo contribs to set the required ones correctly.
