Title: Windows XP Home, Workgroups and SME 5.5
Post by: Joachim Koenen on September 25, 2002, 12:58:31 PM
Hi everybody,
last week we installed a e-smith SME ver 5.5.
We use a workgroup to access the file server. It works well with Windows 98 and Windows NT 4 but we do not see the server with windows xp home. I read all the contributions on this bbs about windows xp home not working with domains, but it schould work with workgroups.

What's wrong?

Thanks in advance

Problem Solved!!!
You have to deactivate the domain support of SME

Thanks for your patience

I have the same problem. It seems that WinXP-home does not support domains (WinXP-pro does). But if you deactiviate the domain support, how do you activate the netlogon-script to set the time or to map drives??

I use a "local" netlogon.bat on each PC with a shortcut in Startup.
