Title: patched the system and now

The top line indicates how the files used to store, the one below how they now store.  I'm not expert on Linux (far from it), is there an easy way to change them back to admin with all the required permissions?  I can't access the files from my M$ machine any more ...

Or is there a security reason why this has changed?

It's a subdirectory in an i-bay.  The users upload to a directory, I process them and put them in the sub directory.  I can then open them locally in photoshop then.  I'm not sure why it changed after the update, however if there is a security reason for it i'd love to know.
