When you open up Web Statistics on the server manager there is a link on the page near the top

Open that up and there is an option to ignore hits from your local network.

There are actually three buttons which control whether AWStats ignores local nets or IPs and in my own case, I have had them all set to ignore local IP traffic since it was installed, but it just ignores the settings and logs them anyway.
