Title: LDAP
Post by: Tyrone Miles on October 18, 2002, 05:29:11 PM
I want to install Novell edirectory LDAP services on my e-smith machine. How can I stop the default LDAP service so that edirectory can use that port. And how do I make sure it doesn't come back on?

Has anyone tried edirectory yet?

/sbin/e-smith/config setprop atalk status disabled
service atalk stop

That works for Appletalk. I would assume that replacing "atalk" with "ldap" would work also.

If you install the "Services Manager" pane, you can just take the check out of the box to disable LDAP.
