Title: Client home drives
Post by: Phill Carter on October 23, 2002, 11:46:26 AM
I am using both NT4 & W2k clients and they map homedrives differently

W2K ends up as
HOMEDRIVE=H:
HOMEPATH=\
HOMESHARE=\fileserver\Phill\.profiles

NT4 ends up as
HOMEDRIVE=H:
HOMEPATH=\.profiles
HOMESHARE=\fileserver\Phill

Is there any way to get W2k to behave the same as NT4?

Cheers, Phill

I don't know, but if you use roaming profiles...I WON'T CHANGE IT.

I'm working as Admin with a NT4 Network with serverbased Profiles,
after we included 3 or 4 W2K-Clients...we started getting crazy
because due to roaming the profiles of people loggin on using
W2K clients and NT4 clients got messed up and where not longer
usable on NT4.

Profiles are fine, they are in %L/Profiles/%U.
The problem is with the home drive which should map to %L/%U
